OUR CONNECTION TO STEFANIE

We first heard of Stefanie’s intriguing photographs when starting work on our Qwstion Store in Vienna. After meeting personally and getting to know each other we presented some of her work in our Store, which further led to our collaboration on the project we did with Peter Kruder.

Stefanie’s precise eye and unique way of "dissecting" a topic, always questioning stereotypes, has gained her international recognition and multiple awards.

WHAT LED YOU TO WHAT YOU DO TODAY?

Growing up in the suburbs of Vienna, being part of a subculture, travelling since I’m very young; but in overall: family, friends, people who crossed my path, coincidences, experiences.

 

 

WHAT DO YOU CARE ABOUT IN LIFE?

Living conscious with myself and my surrounding; as well as to stay open and curious and to leave my comfort zone a lot.

 

HOW DO YOU ADDRESS THIS WITH YOUR WORK?

I transform my sentiments into imagery. My process is to recreate my experiences and observations, and to enable a poetic perception to surface during the process.

 

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN THE THINGS YOU BUY?

Depends on what things.
In terms of clothes:
I want to feel comfortable.
Quality over quantity.
Character, uniqueness.
Most things I bought are collected over the years from different travels, they are like souvenirs.
When it comes to food I’m pretty strict in my consumption (vegan).
