We’ve long admired the journalists at independent media house Monocle for their optimistic perspective on world events, even in times of seemingly endless challenges. Amidst a climate of clickbait, their refreshing approach questions the norms of how media operates today.
Taking a holistic approach to finding better ways is something we strongly relate to at QWSTION. We were accordingly honoured when Monocle Founder Tyler Brulé and his team invited us to collaborate on a series of carry solutions. Now, we’re excited to announce the release of a trio of circular products made in Switzerland, developed with and for the Monocle team and (naturally) made from plants instead of plastic.

The Collection
Our three new carry companions span the full spectrum of daily requirements. For all-day agendas, the QWSTION + MONOCLE Holdall offers an archetypal tote bag for easy packing, including express access to your favourite magazine. Made with efficient meetings in mind, the QWSTION + MONOCLE Folio A4 features a nifty detachable shoulder strap, while the streamlined QWSTION + MONOCLE Folio A5 was designed for keeping to the essentials.
All styles are created from the fabric up, with zero-waste patterns and a production process developed for the lightest possible footprint. Featuring our signature functional details for optimal comfort and flexibility, the bags are intended to improve in patina over time. When they’re ready to be retired, all parts can flow back into their cycles: the metal zippers and buckles are recyclable, while the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bananatex®, thread and tags are 100% biodegradable.
